Course Background

This First Aid Responder PHECC accredited course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency first aid for ill or injured people until medical aid arrives. The course will involve a particular focus on applying this training to sport and exercise situations, with practical reference to relevant scenarios in these settings. 

Skillnet Funding

REPs Ireland members can avail of 25% funding for this course through Skillnet. Please note that there are limited places available on the course and spaces are filling up fast.

Course Delivery

The course will be delivered through blended learning, with four modules delivered in the Setanta College online learning portal. Participants will also attend a two-day practical training workshop where, along with the delivery of further content, real-life scenarios will be replicated and hands-on guidance will be provided. The course will be delivered by a qualified E.M.T. with extensive experience in sports and strength and conditioning coaching. 

Who is this course for? 

This course is for those that are involved in sports coaching – this can include pitch-side, and gym and exercise class locations. There will be a sports, exercise and fitness element running throughout the programme.
