Ciarán is an accredited Strength and Conditioning provider with the Irish Institute of Sport and has provided strength and conditioning to Paralympic athletes since 2005 preparing athletes for European, World and Paralympic games.
As well as being a graduate of Setanta College, Ciarán holds a BSc from Tralee Institute of Technology and has just completed his Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology at Trinity College Dublin.
Ciarán is currently lecturing on the BSc in Strength & Conditioning programme.
Shayne has been working in elite football for over 11 years across first team and academy squads in the Premier League, including Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City. He currently works as the Men’s National Team Football Scientist with the Scottish FA. He is also the founder and director of SDM Performance and a lecturer on our MSc in Performance Coaching programme.
Annie McCarra is a Sports Performance Strength & Conditioning coach, providing one-to-one and group conditioning to improve performance in athletic competition, specialising in injury reduction through corrective exercise, and youth physical development. Annie also currently holds the role of Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at PSA Academies.
Annie is a Setanta College graduate, having completed our MSc in Performance Coaching.
Aidan O’ Mahony is a former Kerry footballer and owner of AOM Fitness. During his hugely successful football career, Aidan won 5 All-Irelands and was awarded with 2 All-Stars.
Aidan is also a current Setanta College student, enrolled on our BSc in Strength & Conditioning.
